Nexus S spy shots confirm Gingerbread, Galaxy S similarity

The Nexus S rumors strike again, this time with an arsenal of new photos. These photos confirm Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Samsung as the manufacturer and there are some new details on the specs.

The photos (as shaky as they are) show the Android version as 2.3. There's a Samsung logo on the back and the handset is pretty similar to the Galaxy S. And the device is curved though the source doesn't say a word about the display - is the curve a good thing or a bad thing?

Anyway, the display on the Nexus S is a 4" AMOLED unit (maybe a SuperAMOLED 2) with WVGA resolution (480x800). Another thing confirmed by the rumor is that the camera shoots 720p video but the rest is unclear.

The CPU is maybe a dual-core (and maybe it's not), there is OpenGL ES support, 512MB RAM or 328MB (could be a typo, 384MB seems more likely than 328MB) and the internal memory is either 1GB or 2GB. This particular Nexus S is running on the T-Mobile network (check out the screenshots).

The Nexus S specs (at least what we've heard from rumors) sound more and more like a Galaxy S with Android 2.3 Gingerbread installed. Even the touch keys below the display are very similar to those of one of the Galaxy S variants - the Samsung Fascinate. Which as it turns out might be getting a successor and with better specs too.
