AT&T and Pantech announced the availability of the Pantech Matrix, a feature phone with dual sliding keypad. The standard numeric keypad slides down, offering a typical cell phone experience, but a QWERTY keyboard slides as the coast, offering practical text input.

The Pantech Matrix sports a 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities and a microSD card slot for additional storage. The device is connected, with quad-band GSM support and dual-band UMTS support for AT&T high-speed 3G HSDPA network. AT&T Share call is supported, as well as video streaming multimedia cell.

The Pantech Matrix packs built-in A-GPS support for use with AT&T Navigator GPS navigation service, as well. This feature-packed cell phone is now available from AT&T, in your choice of navy or black with green accents. A red will be available shortly, as well. The price is fixed at $79.99, with 2 years of commitment and mail-in rebate.
