Samsung and AT&T officially announced the SGH-i907 EPIX, a QWERTY keyboard and touch screen running smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system. The EPIX relies heavily on the SGH-i780 is available in other parts of the world, and has the same optical joystick controller found on the device and the i900 Omnia.
The EPIX is a world traveler a smartphone with its UMTS / HSDPA high-speed 3G support, which is supported by quad-band GSM / EDGE support for non-3G markets. The EPIX has a touchscreen 320×320 pixel display that hunting is mounted with the front of the phone. It measures 2.5 inches diagonally across. The EPIX also 1800mAh battery packs in its half-inch thick body.
Other characteristics of the business-oriented EPIX include a 2 megapixel camera, AT&T Share support, WiFi, and a high-MobiTV client. Bluetooth 2.0 is also available, and the integration of AGPS module means that AT&T Navigator can be used for tasks of navigation. Like other Windows Mobile 6.1 devices, EPIX supports push e-mail on the air synchronization of contacts, calendar appointments and tasks, as well as threaded SMS.
EPIX The i907 comes with 256 MB of internal storage, which can be augmented with a microSD card of up to 32 GB of size. It is also 150 MB of RAM for applications to run in. EPIX measures 117mm x 61mm x 13mm and weighs a reasonable 129g. The battery should be good for a maximum of 7 hours of talk time or 14 days of standby time.
