BlackBerry aims to take the world by surprise with his, uh, Storm, the latest RIM device. Boasted of being the first “clickable” touchscreen smartphone in the world, the storm will be available from Verizon Wireless and Vodafone sometimes this fall, with the former catering to customers residing in the United States while the latter will service clients across the pond in India, Australia and New Zealand. All that is this tempest in a teapot (pun intended) on all and most importantly - will he ever stand up and overcome the shadow of the iPhone? After all, basically everybody and their dog know about the iPhone before its release because of the hype generated, but whatever the storm is good, not many people on Main Street are aware of his imminent release .

Like many other self-respecting smartphones these days, the storm BlackBerry smartphone with an innovative touch screen that is able to fall slightly each time you apply some pressure on it with your finger, you feel as if you were pressing a button, which in a “click”. This allows the user to confirm their selection, and is presented to improve dramatically touch interface and a very intuitive typing experience. I guess this is much better than the haptic feedback that does nothing but buzz every time you make a selection.

The BlackBerry Storm works as good, it seems that being a high-end 3G with global connectivity. Verizon Wireless “Storm BlackBerry 9530 will be 3G EV-DO Rev A / CDMA (2100MHz) UMTS / HSPA and quad-band EDGE / GPRS / Vodafone while the connectivity of the BlackBerry 9500 supports Storm (2100MHz) UMTS / HSPA and Quad -band EDGE / GPRS / GSM. Inside, you will find an HTML browser, e-mail, 3.2 megapixel camera, integrated GPS, 1 GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, stereo Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.25 “display. No word on pricing at this time, although this will change in a few weeks.
