Samsung's second 8 megapixel camera-phone will be announced on the 2nd of October according to an official website by Samsung, the date the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia's first S60 Touch phone, is expected to be announced.
The Pixon is confirmed to feature a 3.2" touchscreen display, 13.8mm thickness, an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, autofocus, and face detection, and shake reduction; accelerometer (motion sensor), and HSDPA connectivity.
Samsung's advances in camera technology are essential to attract potential consumers as the manufacturer will demonstrate that it is keeping up with the advancements in technology, while keeping style and presentation in the place. The Pixon will surely be a direct competitor against the LG Renoir KC910.

The Samsung M8800 Pixon has been officially announced, according to MobileBurn. Besides the features stated already, the device will also be able to record 30fps video at 720x480 resolution as well as 120fps slow-motion video at 320x240 resolution.
The Pixon supports Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and 2100MHz HSDPA connectivity, Bluetooth, and GPS, for geo-tagging functionality.
The M8800's 1000mAh battery should provide it enough battery power to support all its components, and the release date is expected mid-October, which is quite early.
