Sanjay Jha was just named the Co-CEO of Motorola, but it's not him who will uplift the company, it's the 8 megapixel camera-phone codenamed Alexander. In terms of looks the phone isn't very attractive, but the specifications that our source is providing us might just be able to level Motorola with their rivals. Here are some of the features of the upcoming phone:
Earlier this week Motorola's CEO Greg Brown had announced that the company is planning on releasing 34 new phones until the end of 2008, which is the double of what was released last year.
A person working on Motorola's development plans also leaked that one of those 34 devices will be the one codenamed Halo, which is designed to combat against the iPhone. This comes already a bit late, as Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG and BlackBerry have something in the market, or already coming up soon to face the iPhone. The only hint we have from this leaked statement is that Motorola is working on a powerful touchscreen phone.
