NEC 525 review

        A great phone we had the chance to review is the NEC 525, a phone that was designed to revolutionize the mobile phone market. Launched around 01/10/2003 the 525 is supporting the networks GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Having a dimension of only 105 x 48 x 27 mm and having a weight of only 114 g, this cell phone makes an interesting tool. The NEC 525 comes with a powerful camera of 0.1 MP / 352 x 288 px / 2X Zoom / Self-Timer. This cell phone comes with a 800 mAh Li-Ion battery, enabling a talk time of 4.50 hours and lets in standby mode about 200 hours. Its creators incorporated a 1 MB memory, just enough for a regular use! The screen on this cell phone lets setting a wallpaper of 162 x 180 px.

         NEC has modeled its 525 with a 40 chords capable ringtones, making a great phone for you to add tons of ringers. If you like skinnable phones you will like to know the 525 has customizable themes enabled. The game collection included in the NEC 525 is based on J2ME, which supports many fun games! Unsurprisingly, since it is now standard in all phones, the 525 enables both SMS and EMS. You also have MMS messages enabled to send pictures and any multimedia file! The cell phone comes with a calendar which is very intuitive and NEC equipped it with a phone book having a contact list capacity of 500.

        The prediction text tool is using the T9 technology, which is renowned as a good tool. The High speed data transfer is using the GPRS (Class 8) technology. The 525 has been designed with an infrared port for data transfer. Connection to a computer is supported with a cable to exchange data between both systems.

         We conclude believing the NEC 525 to be a very interesting cell phone and we greatly encourage it to someone in search of a good phone!
