Samsung P730: Samsung p730 is the handset with newest design and the new sliding mechanism. The phone has a great display as well as the grand capacity of the memory. The phone has quite larger display and looks bigger. It weighs 120 grams and the extra antenna further strengthens the illusion of the largeness.
The sliding mechanism is circularly shaped and located on the upper part of the phone. The phone has external screen resolution of 96*64 pixels and supports 4096 colors. The external display can read up to two text lines and two information bars. The screen blurred under the sun rays.
The internal screen of the phone supports the resolution up to 128*160 pixels. The overall resolution of the screen and striking brightness of the display is fantastic. The keypad of the phone is fairly comfortable with the big and handy keys. The keys have single chunk with blue backlight.
The battery of the phone can support about four working hour in the talking mode and 200 working hours in the standby mode. The phone can be used for at least two days actively and five days, it’s really a long time. The charging of the battery takes two hours.
The menu has the typical Samsung organization.
The main menus as well as the submenus are numbered and the shortcut is available for all submenus. The phone provides the facility to view the menu in three different types: a single big icon, three rows of icons and a list of functions. The submenus are listed in the regular list.
The phone has an excellent camera that provides quality pictures and videos. The pictures are of excellent resolution and can be viewed on PC and the phone display. The camera can be set in to different modes according to the light.
The phone has an internal memory capacity of 50.5 MB. It can be used to store photon MP3 and Video. 1 MB separate memory is arranged for the MMS, games and the audio messages.
The phonebook can save up to 2000 numbers in the memory. The user can record many numbers for a contact along with the URL and Email address. The phone numbers can be divided into ten different groups and special pictures, ringtone and SMS tones can be assigned to each group. The user can assign a matching photo to any number, though the ringtone can be selected only for the group.
The message can be created in either EMS or the concatenated standard. The user can attach a melody, picture or animation to the message. The memory of the phone can store 200 messages. Multimedia messages are also available with a simple interface.
Call records can store 20 numbers for all three categories i.e. the missed call, dialed numbers and the received calls. Separate timer is available for the received and the dialed calls. The user can enjoy the decent polyphony tones in several ring modes. The phone supports all typical basic functions including the organizer, calculator, clock, and the fun box. The fun box stores all picture, video, image and melodies under different categories.
