Samsung SGH-X497 review

        An interesting cell phone we had a look at is the Samsung SGH-X497, a phone that was conceived to compete this year's market. Unveiled around 01/7/2005 the SGH-X497 supports the networks GSM 850 / 1800 / 1900. Having a dimension of only 90 x 47 x 24 mm and having a weight of only 86 g, this item's size will satisfy its most skeptic users. This cell phone comes with a 1000 mAh Li-Ion battery, enough to talk for about 2.50 hours and lasts in standby around 200 hours. Its creators added a 3.0 MB memory, enough for a regular use! A cool thing of the Samsung SGH-X497 is the speaker phone, being a useful tool anywhere! The nice screen of this cell phone lets installation of wallpapers of 128 x 160 px.

         Samsung has modeled its SGH-X497 with a 40 chords ringtone player, making a great phone for you to add a lot of ringtones. The game collection included in the Samsung SGH-X497 is based on J2ME, having cool games to distract yourself! Not surprisingly, since it is now standard in all phones, the SGH-X497 offers both services EMS and SMS messaging. Adding to that it supports MMS messaging to send all multimedia files! The phone has a calendar which is well designed and Samsung provided a phone book with a capacity of 500.

        The text prediction tool is using the T9 technology, being a top system for easy using. This cell phone is using the GPRS (Class 10) technology. Connection to a computer is supported with a cable to transfer ringtones, wallpapers, etc. We finish by believing the Samsung SGH-X497 to be a great cell phone and we happily suggest it to someone in search of a good phone!
