I must admit that I am a fan of these types of phones like the Sidekick can return to their screens for a horizontal reading. So I was naturally attracted to the 923SH, one of the ten new phones out of Softbank.
The first question I had to ask is how does the phone on the left back to the phone on the right? Clearly, Softbank has some folding technology that I do not know.
The display on the 923SH is something that we know about. It employs single Sharp AQUOS LCD panel, technology that we reported about the SE94 Series. Clearly, this HDTV technology has been somewhat miniaturized, and this display is capable of many, many colors.
This phone is capable of recording video content. It has a 29mm wide angle, and can record at 15 fps (frames per second) and 30 fps.
For those of you who have never heard of Softbank is a Japanese telecommunications company that is large enough in its country of origin. I guess that the availability of their latest phone is limited to Japan, as much information that I found was on sites in Japanese.
The Softbank 923SH release is scheduled for this summer and is available in several colors including black, navy, clear white, and pink silk.
