While most mobile company creates so much detail in releasing a phone that is extremely unique, fashionable and eye-catchy in design, Sony Ericsson keeps it plain and simple with the Sony Ericsson Z320. With all the high-end looking phones, the target of Sony Ericsson Z230 is to create a retro image. When you place this mobile phone along with the other latest mobile phone model, Z230 seems so vintage.
But although the physical feature of the phone doesn't seem to be impressive enough, this can still be a great device if you are just into the mobile phone basics like texting, calling and occasional picture taking. This mobile phone is not advisable for people who love to have more features such as music, video calling and others.
The camera feature that can be easily accessed in just a click only has 1.3 megapixel in it. That's good enough for someone who just wants to take random pictures. You can zoom up to four times and the camera settings can be adjusted into night mode or white balance. This phone can save up to 100 photos and it will be stored at the 12MB internal memory. However, the memory capacity is quite small considering there are no alloted slots for MicroSD to increase the size of the memory. With the easy menu of Sony Ericsson Z230, you may be able to view your photos without having a hard time searching since it was made to be user-friendly. The photos stored in your mobile phone can be shared only by MMS. It can't be shared in an instant to other mobile phones because it does not support Bluetooth connection. You may only let others view your captured moments from your phone and see it from the 1.8†screen display that has a resolution of 128x160 pixels or if you already transferred the files to your personal computer. To take your picture files to your computer you will be using infrared or connect your USB cable from your phone to your PC so that you can share your images via e-mail.
The ringing tone for this phone is polyphonic. You can also use MP3 or AAC file formats. But you may not be able to store much of your favorite music so that you can have a wide variety of tones to choose from since it was mentioned earlier that the memory is limited.
Java games can be played in this phone but of course don't expect too much in the resolution. It is also GPRS and WAP enabled so you can browse uising WAP 2.0/xHTML.
Like most of the mobile phones out in the market, it has an organizer feature so you can view calendar dates and set an alarm time. There is also an optional accessory that you can plug into the phone in case you want to use the call function hands-free.
Lithium Ion battery powers up Z320, giving a full 300 hours of usage.
The clamshell-like mobile phone is available in two different colors: Crimson Red (a very nice color for female) and Atlantic Blue.
